Hi Activators. This is Jon Mertz, founder of Activate World. We will launch our sixth season of podcast episodes next week, and we are excited to share with you thought-provoking conversations with people engaged in social change as it impacts business.

Do you consider social entrepreneurs as activists, or are you curious about how social movements can create a roadmap for business change? Many discuss storytelling, but have you thought about how stories and their characters can change history? In Season Six we will explore all these questions and more. We’ll mix business and sociology, creating ways for business leaders to set an example in achieving business and social change, and reach for a new standard in capitalism.

We have been on a journey through our podcast seasons, starting with exploring corporate social responsibility and B Corps. We’ve looked at the business of media, and how we can get stuck in our social media echo. We’ve examined the necessity of free speech to gain true understanding, looked at how creativity, political involvement and social ventures create platforms for businesses to engage in change. We’ve also looked into the necessity for diversity, inclusion and equity, and how to achieve all three. Most recently we’ve looked at renewed business models to engage people, profit and planet through social entrepreneurship, cooperatives and more.

Our goals are to encourage you to think, explore, and then act for the betterment of society and business. Season Six will set in motion an engaging mash-up of business and social change. We cannot afford to be just leaders. We need to be Activators as well.

We hope you will join us on our journey toward a new leadership model. Tell your colleagues, and stay tuned for the next season of Activate World, on your favorite podcast platform.
